About this song:
My First Song was the first song written by Deni Chau (me) in Jakarta Indonesia on 16 September 1994. It was the only song written while I was still a student at Hati Kudus middle school in Jakarta.
This video was uploaded to Deni Chau World Music Channel on 6 April 2021.
My First Song was first performed in front of my private music teacher named Bernard on 20 September 1994 at 6pm, and my best friend named Leonardus on the following day.
My First Song was also performed at SMP Hati Kudus school. It received loud cheers and applauses.
The date and time was not exactly remembered. It was between November 1994 to February 1995.
The biggest mistake was none of us took photos and record any videos of me playing the music; in that time year 1994 smart phones had not existed yet. Although the school kept records of date of my first performance on paper in a filing cabinet, everything was discarded by the school a decade later before we were able to obtain any information at my 10th years anniversary in music.

At first, the lyrics was welcomed by my friends and classmates; however soon the lyrics was criticized because the above lyrics were only suitable to be sung by me alone as the author of that song.
Soon after that the song lyrics was modified into:

This song was covered by music students and by large number of musicians since its released in 1994, indeed the largest number of covers for Deni 's music.
Unfortunately, prior to year 2023 there were no video and audio records for the covers.
The first known cover was a piano solo by Monica Gumulya in year 2009.
